Contract disputes
Unpaid invoices, breached agreements, and work that wasn't delivered as promised.
Lawsuit defense
Filing your answer on time, building the defense, and managing every deadline after it.
Debt collection
Recovering money you're owed, or defending against a claim you dispute.
Demand letters
A clear, well-supported letter that often resolves the matter before anyone files.
Settlement and mediation
Negotiating a resolution that makes sense for the amount at stake.
Court representation
Preparing for and appearing at hearings and trial on your behalf.
Where your case belongs
The amount in dispute decides which court hears your case, and whether I can represent you in it.
$10,000
Justice court limit
Civil cases with $10,000 or less in dispute, not counting interest, costs, and awarded fees, belong in justice court. That is the range my license covers.
$5,000
Small claims limit
Small claims cases are heard without attorneys or LPs unless both sides agree in writing. Either side can move the case to the civil division, where I can represent you.
Common reasons clients call
A customer won't pay for finished work
A demand letter first, then a claim in justice court if payment doesn't follow.
You've been served with a lawsuit
An answer filed before the deadline, a clear assessment of your defenses, and a plan to resolve the case.
Someone is threatening to sue you
A written response that protects your position before a case is filed.
A contract has gone wrong
A review of what the contract requires of each side and the remedies available to you.
